Best 5 of 2024
2024 has been a fantastic year in photography for me. I went out consistently every weekend and often once or twice during the week as well.
The best five shots I took this year, In Reverse order. Starting with number 5.

#5 Shot at Union Station in Toronto - I like the juxtaposition of the sign behind the people while they are all using their phones

#4 - The man cleaning the display at the Eaton Center, Toronto, looks like he could be part of the display.

#3 Circque de Soleil, Montreal - sunrise along the waterfront.

#2 Shot from the rooftop bar of the Broadview Hotel in Toronto

#1 Getting a selfie with the Mona Lisa at The Lourvre, Paris
Bonus Photograph
This year I also tried out a little wildlife photography with the Fuji 70-300mm lens. I know this lens is on the short end of a wildlife lens. But for me it was an affordable way to try out wildlife photography. I have since purchased the Fujifilm 1.4x Teleconvertor which provides a little extra reach.
I think this is a good starter kit especially since most of the wildlife I shoot is in urban settings with animals that are more familiar with people allowing you to get closer than you would in a non-urban setting.

Barn Swallow: My best wildlife shot of the year
While the barn swallow is not a shot I would put in my top 5 of 2024, I'm very happy with it and am looking forward to doing more wildlife shots in 2025.
