Best 5 of 2025
2025 has been a fantastic year in photography for me. I went out consistently every weekend and often once or twice during the week as well.
The best five shots I took this year, In Reverse order. Starting with number 5.
#5 From my vacation to Rome - This shot of a gull inside the Colosseum is one of my favourites from the vacation and number 5 for the year.
#4 A construction worker walks a low railing at Union Station, Toronto
#3 Another favourite from the Italy vacation - Staircase in the Vatican
#2 Winter Sunset at HTO Park, Toronto - shot in February. I like how the umbrellas match the color of the sunset.
#1 Transit Spotlight - shot at Sheppard West station in June. This station has since been renamed to Cedarvale. The light was perfect as the train pulled into the station. Notice the double reflection in the right window.
Bonus Photograph
In January we got a rescue kitten, Boba. He's been a great addition to our family. Additionally he's a patient subject for all manner of photography. Here's a shot of Boba on the fireplace mantle looking out the window that I took last week.
